What are the deadlines for applying?

There are no deadlines. However, please keep in mind that the entire application and approval process typically takes six months to complete.  

How soon will I hear from you after I apply?

Once we have received your grant application, we will immediately send an email confirming receipt of the request.  Each request is reviewed by our Grant Review Committee to determine if it meets our mission and guidelines and falls into one of our focus areas. If we have questions regarding your submission, we will contact you. You can expect to hear about your request within 30 days of submission. 

What is an appropriate request amount?  Is there a maximum grant size? 

The amount that you request should be sufficient to complete the entire project and reap the expected results.

 Do you make multi-year pledges?

Yes, the Foundation will consider multi-year commitments to a project, with quarterly review to determine continued support.

If a request is approved, how soon before we can receive funding?

This will depend on the grant request and the amount.  For most grants, funding will be made when the grant agreement is approved by both the foundation and the requesting organization.

Does the Foundation offer matching or challenge grants?

Yes, the Gawlicki Family Foundation recognizes matching and challenge grants as effective tools for leveraging additional financial support for certain projects.  Grant proposals are usually given a specific timeframe for securing the matching funds.  The Gawlicki Family Foundation will not release the matching funds until provided proof that the funds have been matched.
